Founded by Pranavraj Thakkar

In 2022, I moved to London to pursue my MBA. Alongside my studies, I began working as a barista — a role that unexpectedly sparked a deep passion for coffee. What started as simple brewing soon turned into a journey of exploration, experimentation, and discovery.

By the time I returned to India in 2025, my curiosity had evolved into a mission. I began researching and experimenting with Indian coffees, only to realize something profound: Indian beans are every bit as exceptional as those from anywhere else in the world. That realization became the foundation of Black Slate Coffee.
